Mickai Subsystem
Mickai Hippocampus™
Mickai Hippocampus is the memory subsystem of the Mickai SIOS. Encrypted vector store, semantic memory recall, multi-persona switching, signed memory writes (every memory committed via the Open Audit Record). Mickai is downloadable at mickai.co.uk/download and runs on Windows, Linux, or macOS.
View capabilitiesThe Mickai SIOS
Mickai is a Sovereign Intelligence Operating System (SIOS). It runs entirely on your own hardware, on Windows, Linux, or macOS. No cloud, no telemetry. This page describes one subsystem of the Mickai SIOS. Download Mickai at mickai.co.uk/download.
A subsystem of the Mickai SIOS. Long-term memory, vector store, RAG, persona persistence. Every memory committed via OAR.
Long-term memory, signed at the write.
What Hippocampus remembers
Seven primitives that make long-term memory auditable. Encrypted vector store, semantic recall, persona partitions, signed writes, citation-grounded retrieval, on-device embedding, tombstone-and-revoke lifecycle.
01 / Vector store
Encrypted vector store
Embeddings, chunks, and source documents live inside an encrypted on-disk vector store. The encryption key is bound to the operator key and never leaves the host. A regulator subpoena reaches encrypted bytes; the operator alone holds the key.
02 / Recall
Semantic memory recall
Hippocampus serves Cortex with the most relevant prior memories on every query. Cosine similarity, MMR re-ranking, time-decay weighting. Every recall is logged so the lineage walk can prove which memories influenced which decision.
03 / Personas
Multi-persona switching
Each persona has its own memory partition. A consumer persona, a research persona, a legal persona, all kept distinct. Switching is signed into the chain so an audit can prove which persona answered which question.
04 / Writes
Signed memory writes
Every memory commit emits an OAR envelope: the source hash, the embedding model identifier, the persona identifier, the timestamp, signed under the operator key. Tampering with the store breaks the next read.
05 / RAG
Citation-grounded retrieval
Retrieved chunks carry their source document hash. Cortex emits the citations in the response, the chain records them, the verifier walks them. No hallucinated sources, no dangling references.
06 / Privacy
On-device only
Embeddings are computed on-device by Mickai Lama. No third-party embedding API, no remote vector cloud. The whole memory pipeline lives on the operator's machine.
07 / Lifecycle
Forget and revoke
Operator-driven forget commands tombstone memories, sign the tombstone into the chain, and exclude them from recall. A regulator can prove the forget happened, when, and under whose authority.
