MNEMOSYNE.
The custodian of knowledge. Refreshes the knowledge base across every brain over the signed mesh.
Mnemosyne is the knowledge custodian of the cooperative. It keeps the on-device knowledge base of every brain current: refreshing corpora, reconciling new sources against the existing index, and propagating updates across all fifty brains over the signed internal mesh. Each refresh is signed and recorded in the audit ledger so the provenance of a brain's knowledge is itself walkable. Mnemosyne works alongside the Knowledge-tier kernel functions and the Retrieval pipeline, and is the brain that ensures the cooperative keeps learning without any corpus ever leaving operator-controlled hardware.
- 01Knowledge-base refresh across all fifty brains
- 02Source reconciliation and de-duplication against existing indexes
- 03Signed propagation of updates over the internal mesh
- 04Provenance recording of every refresh in the audit ledger
Authoritative external corpora and standards this brain treats as canonical. Every retrieval against these sources is signed into the audit ledger so a regulator can prove which evidence drove which output.

Mickai-native tooling primitives this brain implements internally. Codex for sovereign plain-text graph PKM, Lectern for spaced-repetition memory, Stele for citation-provenance, and domain-native primitives layered on top. No external services in the trust path; data stays on operator-personalised hardware.
