HELIOS Aegis

Off-grid solar station, sovereign compute on a harvested-energy envelope

The Mickai HELIOS Aegis is the flagship of the energy-sovereign family, an off-grid solar power station and sovereign computer in one sealed chassis. A solar array charges an onboard lithium iron phosphate battery bank, and a power-aware scheduler runs the cooperative of brains inside the energy that has actually been harvested, drawing down model size, batch, and agent concurrency as charge falls and lifting them again as the sun returns. The full Sovereign Intelligence Operating System is sealed on the box, the Open Audit Record is signed under FIPS 204 ML-DSA-65 in place, and nothing leaves the unit unless the operator sends it. Aegis is for the off-grid homestead, the field research station, the disaster-response post, and the operator who wants frontier-class local intelligence where there is no mains power and no network to trust. The energy-aware scheduling method is the subject of UK patent application GB2612790.2, filed June 2026. The application is filed. The operator owns the hardware, the keys, and the audit record. No subscription for context or usage. The price you pay on day one is the price you pay for life.

Mickai HELIOS Aegis, the Energy-sovereign station
Named after

Helios is the Greek god of the sun, who drives his chariot across the sky each day and sees everything under the light. The energy-sovereign family carries his name because every machine in it runs on harvested light. Aegis is the shield Helios lends the line, the flagship that holds the power and the compute together.

What you can do with HELIOS Aegis

Beyond the standard Windows and Linux workflow, here is what HELIOS Aegis does with the Mickai SIOS running on the box. Concrete capability per category, with the level the hardware can carry.

Mickai SIOS
Off-grid full

The full cooperative of brains running locally on harvested energy. The scheduler keeps reasoning, retrieval, and the audit ledger alive at low charge and lifts model size and agent concurrency as the battery fills. Open Audit Record signed at every commit, sealed on the box.

Energy
Harvest-aware

Solar to a 5 kWh battery, MPPT charge, pure-sine AC and USB-C PD outputs. The energy budget is the first-class scheduling constraint, not an afterthought. Runs indefinitely under adequate sun, around 26 hours light agentic in the dark.

Resilience
Field and emergency

IP54 sealed, wide temperature range, no mains and no network required. The compute and the power supply for a research camp, a disaster-response post, or an off-grid holding, in one chassis.

Productivity
Off-grid desk

Single 4K monitor or twin 1440p off the AC outputs, document drafting, research, mapping, field data capture, all on local power with the SIOS resident.

AI workloads
Power-capped inference

8 GB VRAM holds the brain quorum on smaller models within the power cap. Conversational and light agentic latency on harvested energy. AMT light tasks when charge allows. OAR signing throughout.

Sovereignty
Sealed and operator-owned

Sealed in the OAR, no egress by construction, no subscription for context or usage. The operator owns the hardware, the keys, the audit record, and the power that runs it.

What ships on the box
Patents and substrate

Mickai is held privately by its founder, Micky Irons. One hundred and one UK patent applications have been filed against the substrate, with approximately 2,234 claims across them, on the public UK IPO register under GB2607309.8 onwards. The corpus covers the cooperative architecture, the Open Audit Record, the FIPS 204 ML-DSA-65 signing primitive, the clearance-gated retrieval, the audio dual-layer watermark, the silicon root of trust, and the host-acceptance attestation that lets the Mickai bundle migrate from one machine to another without breaking its signed chain.

Silicon roadmap

Poseidon, the Mickai Sovereign AI SoC. In-house silicon that complements the GPU fabric on every SKU. Carries the OAR signing primitive in silicon, holds the hardware identity and cryptographic root of trust, and sits between the network interface and the GPU fabric so every action that crosses the bus can be policy-checked before commit. Optional on every SKU as the silicon lands.

Pricing and availability

Pricing TBD. The price on day one is the price for life. No subscription for context or usage. Only paid upgrades through the sandboxed channel, optional.

Launch window: Late 2026
