Own how MICKAI reaches customer-owned hardware, deploys air-gapped and offline, and proves every action with a post-quantum sealed audit trail.

About Mickai:

Mickai is a UK deep-tech company building a Sovereign Intelligence Operating System (SIOS): AI that regulated organisations own and run inside their own walls, offline, on hardware they control. This is not an average pre-seed company. MICKAI® is built and live, an operational product rather than a slide. It runs 50 specialised brains and more than 60 studios that replace the enterprise cloud stack, from SAP and Salesforce to Splunk and CrowdStrike, on hardware the customer owns. Every consequential action is sealed into the Open Audit Record, a post-quantum signed ledger, and a self-validating harness passes over a thousand checks on the operator's own machine. We hold 104 filed UK patent applications and 2,340 claims. Three live commercial surfaces already sit around the SIOS, with early clients lined up.

The role:

You own how MICKAI leaves our walls and runs inside someone else's. Air-gapped and offline deployment onto operator-owned hardware, a CI/CD pipeline that ships to machines it can never phone home to, and the audit-record pipeline that seals every consequential action into a post-quantum signed ledger. You own hardware attestation and sovereign security compliance end to end.

What you will own:

  • Air-gapped and offline deployment onto operator-owned hardware.
  • CI/CD that ships to customer machines with no outbound connectivity.
  • The audit-record pipeline that seals actions into a post-quantum signed ledger.
  • Hardware attestation and secure boot across the fleet.
  • Sovereign security compliance for defence, financial services and government.
  • A hardened deployment supply chain, with every artefact signed.
  • Fast, reliable offline verification of the audit ledger for years.
  • Platform threat modelling and incident response inside customer walls.

What you bring:

  • Senior security engineering in regulated or high-assurance environments.
  • Proven secure deployment into air-gapped or offline networks.
  • Deep CI/CD and infrastructure-as-code skill, from build to signed artefact.
  • Strong grounding in cryptography, key management and supply-chain security.
  • Comfort owning compliance evidence, not just documenting it.
  • The judgement to make security an engineering property, not a policy statement.

Nice to have:

  • Post-quantum cryptography and hardware attestation experience.
  • TPM, secure boot and confidential computing in production.
  • Work with defence, financial services or government accreditation regimes.
  • Building tamper-evident audit or ledger systems.

The deal (please read):

This is a founding, part-time role. You take meaningful sweat equity now, which converts to a competitive salary once we close our seed round. Remote only, open only to applicants based in the United Kingdom or the United Arab Emirates, for legal and compliance reasons. Some overlap with UK hours is appreciated, not required.

Why join now:

MICKAI is built and live, not a slide. The patent estate is filed, the category is still being defined, and the security architecture is yours to own from the ground floor.
