What is the assistant?

The assistant is the way into the SIOS. Ask it a question in plain language and it answers, drafts, rewrites, plans or works through a problem, the way you would expect from a capable colleague. Because it runs locally, it can read the files and notes you point it at without any of that content leaving your machine.

What are studios?

Studios are focused workspaces inside the SIOS, each shaped around a particular kind of job. Where the assistant is general, a studio narrows the interface, the prompts and the outputs to one task, so the work moves faster and stays consistent. You move between them as your day changes, and they share the same private intelligence underneath.
